Njsp: Driver Tending To Disabled Truck Struck By Sedan In Boonton, Injured

A tractor-trailer driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries he sustained while tending to his disabled vehicle on the shoulder of Route 287 in Boonton, New Jersey State Police said.

The driver was in the roadway was placing reflective markers around his truck when he was struck around 11:40 p.m. Friday night, Trooper Alejandro Goez said.

The 58-year-old Hackettstown driver of the Hyundai Elantra that struck him remained at the scene and was not not issued a citation as of Tuesday morning, police said.

The unidentified truck driver was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment, Goez said.
